6 of Tennis Pro Sloane Stephens’s Best SI Swimsuit Photos in Aruba

Tennis professional Sloane Stephens traded her tennis skirt for a series of edgy swimsuits in 2018 when she made her powerful SI Swimsuit debut with James Macari. She won her first Grand Slam singles title at the U.S. Open the previous year.

“After the U.S. Open, I went into the Sports Illustrated offices and I got to meet MJ [Day, SI Swimsuit editor in chief], and they were like, ‘You’re going to be in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit,’ and I was like, ‘You’re joking me,’” she said at the time. “This is not the most comfortable thing for me, to be in a swimsuit. It took a little push, but once I got past that barrier, I’m on a whole other level.”

The 30-year-old achieved her career-best ranking at No. 3 after the 2018 Wimbledon. She played in the French Open earlier this month and lost to No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka in the fourth round.
